Vin de Beouf, a premium steakhouse and Off the Menu wine shop, deli and bistro were due to open just weeks before the start of the festive season. A full team of new staff had been hired, most with a very basic understanding of wine, food and silver service and in clear need of upskilling at short notice.

Solution

Slowgold collated a wine and service training programme, specific to their needs and complete with a grading exam at the end. Designed with the intention of getting each and every staff member to a level of confidence and wine knowledge that would have them pass both written and practical exams with at least 60%

The

Results

After just 23 working days, all 30 staff had learnt, tasted, practiced and learnt some more before all passing both exams. Our trainers left the venue content that we had equipped the deli and steak house staff with the skills and confidence to make a success of the new premises.
